Off Grid Cabin

Located on a 150 acre ranch in Mendocino County, CA. This 450 sq ft barn conversion was a labor of love that eventually became home for my fiancé (Josi) and I. The only job on the project subcontracted out was framing the interior walls and outdoor awning, which I received help from my friend Dalton Litschewski. All other labor including drywall, plumbing, wiring, painting, finish trim and cabinetry, installing and wiring solar panels/ inverter, acid staining concrete floor etc. was conducted by me with help from Josi. The beetle kill pine cabinets, trim and wall paneling were milled from neighbor’s trees by us using an Alaskan chainsaw mill. The D-top counter was constructed from livestock stalls that once stood where the kitchen is now.
